Simona Banchi

Since 1995, Simona Banchi has dedicated her passion and expertise to production activities in the cultural sectors of theater, television, and cinema. Her distinctive mark emerges in her careful nurturing of young authors, giving a voice to social stories, and providing tangible encouragement to women in the arts.

In recent years, Simona has expanded her experience to the audiovisual sector, producing notable films and documentaries such as “La fabbrica dei tedeschi,” “Fascisti su Marte,” “Viva Zapatero,” “Le ragioni dell’aragosta,” “Draquila,” “148 Stefano,” “Nonostante la nebbia” (the latest film by Goran Paskaljević), and the Georgian debut film by Uta Beria, “Negative Numbers.” She also produced the debut Kosovar film by More Raca, “Andromeda Galaxy,” “Takeaway” by Renzo Carbonera, and “The Beat Bomb,” a documentary on Lawrence Ferlinghetti directed by Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani.

Simona has written radio programs such as “Italiani in continenti” and, with Marco Marzocca and Francesco Vercillo, “Soggetti Smarriti,” which won the 2023 Microphone d’oro award and is currently airing on RaiRadio 2.

She heads the multimedia section of the High Training Workshop of the Lazio Region’s Officina delle Arti Pierpaolo Pasolini and is actively involved in the newly established association “Amici di Luciano Sovena,” which, in memory and example of the unforgettable lawyer Luciano Sovena, aims to continue supporting Italian cinema talents.
